Now, I'm not one to preach. I believe people should be able to believe in whatever faith they want to believe in. But there is huge difference in believing in a faith, and preaching hatred towards just about every different type of person on this Earth all the while hiding behind said faith. And that is what the Westboro Baptist "Church" do. They spew nothing but hatred and need to be stopped. The Westboro Baptist Church was most recently brought to the public's attention by the tragic death of actor Heath Ledger. They have made plans to protest at his funeral because of the gay character he played in the Academy nominated film "Brokeback Mountain".

Back in October of 2006 Charles Carl Roberts IV killed five girls — Naomi Rose Ebersole, 7; Anna Mae Stoltzfus, 12; Marian Fisher, 13; Mary Liz Miller, 8; and her sister Lena Miller, 7 — in a rural Amish schoolhouse in Lancaster County, Pa. The members of this "church" also made plans to protest these funerals simply because of the fact the slain girls were Amish. Their plans were canceled however when they made a deal to get an hour on a local radio station to spread their "beliefs". They have protested at funerals of soldiers and AIDS victims in passed years.

They have no respect for the human race. The family of Heath Ledger is mourning and have the right to do so in peace. A man is dead. There has been a loss of human life. Somebody needs to stand up and say something against this type of hatred and discrimination. That person needs to be you. Please pass the word along to everyone you know.
